Pediatric Surgical VR Headset Adapter
A 3D printable and sterilizable insert for Oculus headset use by children in the operating room, to help reduce the stress and fear children might experience pre-op. Made to fit multiple O2 mask sizes without interfering with surgery.
Tissue Adhering PVA Cardiac Patches
PVA patches applied to the heart after infarction. Meant to assist in remodelling without scarring. Tissue adhering on one side so as to not be attached with sutures but not stick to the pericardial sac.
Alginate-Pluronic Self Healing Hybrid Gels
Shear thinning Alginate-Pluronic hybrid gels. Intended for injection at a wound site since shear thinning. Due to the incorporation of pluronic the gel mechanically crosslinks and thermogels, healing and gelating after injection.
Implant Filter
The final project for my RF Circuit Design course. I designed and manufactured a bandpass filter for low power membrane implants.
BioFET Microfluidic Testing Jig
As a CAPSTONE project for Global Foundries I developed atestting rig for running microflows of biofluids over BioFETS. The design is quick to set up, opticaly accessible for use at a probe station, easy to manufacture, and capable of containing potentially hazardous biofluids.
Bioprinted Patches
As a final project for a Biomdical Engineering Lab class I designed and created different hydrogel patches on a 3D bioprinter. The mechanical integrity of composite patches with normal and hybrid gels was tested in shear vs just homogenous gels.
Lab Equipment Restoration
Most of my home lab equipment is either homemade or restored. Pictured here is a Stormer Viscosimeter I repaired and restored!
Cellular Agriculture
I'm a founding member of UVM's Cellular Agriculture Club. A group focused on researching and educating on cellular agriculture and culutred meats.
CS Crew
I've been a long term member of the UVM CS Crew, a club for computer scientists and computer science enthusiasts.
Game Dev
I'm a founding member of UVM's Game Development Club and the interim treasurer. I mostly advise with design decisions. I've been working on a couple of small puzzle game prototypes recently
Passive Time Dysphoria
A project that seeks to find the different effects of boredom on mood between Deressed and Non-depressed patients. Data is collected via EEG and processed using machine learning.
FRC Mentor
From time to time I return to FRC team 2370 as a mentor, helping with controls code and electronics.
WonderFeet Science Communication Events
WonderFeet is a children's science museum in Rutland. Over the years I've volunteered for them as a teacher and host for special events. I helped kids with simple science experiments and demonstrations.
Biomedical Engineer from the University of Vermont Specialized in Cell, Tissue, and Organ Systems --- I've worked as a Software Engineer for both robotics and data science applications. In my free time I like to build/tinker with circuits and make small games in Godot.
